Topping-out ceremony in Hamburg Horn residential development Bei den Zelten
Bei den Zelten Winking Froh

In mid-August Winking · Froh celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new Bei Den Zelten quarter with Wohnungsverein Hamburg von 1902 eG. The new building replaces existing buildings from 1939 that were rebuilt after 1949. The three- to eight-storey clinker brick building encloses a large, fan-shaped courtyard and ends with a solitaire. Together with its counterpart on the other side of Sievekingsallee, the head building forms an urban portal as a prelude towards the centre. Its height shields the existing pocket park from the busy axis. Special uses on the ground floor enliven the neighbourhood. The rooms and lounges of the 200 flats are oriented to the south and west towards the side facing away from the noise. Completion of the flats, commercial spaces and underground car park is planned for August 2022, with the first flats on Horner Weg ready for occupation in February. 149 of the 200 residential units will be subsidised by the IFB. The new building meets the requirements of the KfW 55 standard. The construction sum is around 32 million euros. Winking · Froh were the winners of an invited competition with four participants in 2018.
